Rolleston Coal South

High-Leverage in a World-Class Basin

Yari Resources has identified a significant resource opportunity in the world-class Bowen Basin, secured on favourable terms that align the interests of vendors and shareholders.

Strategically located near key infrastructure and supported by favourable regulations and equipment access, the project is poised for rapid progress. Our goal is to grow and enhance the resource base with maximum capital efficiency in the shortest possible timeframe. This opportunity stands out as one of the few globally that meets our stringent criteria for success.

High-quality Infrastructure

The success of the Rolleston South Coal Project is underpinned by access to high-quality infrastructure.

A state highway runs through the project site, connecting it via approximately 40km of sealed road to the Blackwater rail system. This rail network provides efficient access to coal loading facilities at the Port of Gladstone, ensuring seamless transportation and logistics for coal products.

Significant Exploration Upside in a World-Class Basin

The Rolleston South Coal Project, encompassing two granted Exploration Permits for Coal (EPCs), is a highly prospective asset located in the proven Bowen Basin, surrounded by major operators such as Glencore, Peabody, Tri-Star, and Vitrinite.

A 2018 drilling campaign confirmed six significant coal seams (X, A-E) within the Bandanna Formation, with thicknesses ranging from approximately 1 to 6 meters. Detailed coal-quality testwork indicates potential for a low-ash, export-quality thermal coal product, with additional potential for semi-soft metallurgical applications, subject to further confirmatory work.

222.9Mt JORC Coal Resource, including 33.7Mt Indicated

Yari Resources has increased the JORC 2012 Coal Resource at its Rolleston South Coal Project from 78.9Mt at acquisition to 222.9Mt, comprising 33.7Mt Indicated and 189.2Mt Inferred Resources.

Four drillholes were completed during the 2025 drilling program, with coal intersected from a depth of 48.9 metres. Ongoing coal-quality analysis and geological modelling are supporting a more targeted drilling strategy focused on improving resource confidence and delineating shallow coal zones.
